CPR

CPR is an emergency procedure that can save a person's life when they are unconscious. Our CPR Training course is designed to teach you how to perform CPR and use an AED and how to assess a victim. Students learn how to administer CPR to someone who has stopped breathing and is in cardiac arrest. CPR provides life-saving assistance to a person's circulatory system, which can help prevent disability or death. The American Heart Association estimates that every year, more than 350,000 people in the United States die from sudden cardiac arrest.

AEDs

AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are a portable device that can be used to diagnose and treat victims of sudden cardiac arrest. AEDs are designed to be used by the general public, including laypersons and those with no medical training.

The AED is the only device that can diagnose victims of sudden cardiac arrest. If you find a victim in cardiac arrest, call 911 and then go to the victim.

State of Health in Massachusetts

According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, there are 14.7 million people living in Massachusetts. The population is aging and it is projected that by 2030, one out of every five residents will be 65 years or older.

In 2017, the State of Massachusetts had a total of 1,634 cases of Lyme disease reported to public health officials. This was up from 1,359 cases reported in 2016 and 948 cases reported in 2015.

In 2017, there were 3 deaths from influenza-related causes reported in Massachusetts. This was up from 2 deaths in 2016 and 0 deaths in 2015.

The Department also reports that the state has had a total of 3 confirmed cases of measles since January 2018 with all three having traveled internationally before returning to Massachusetts.

The state of Massachusetts has the best health care system. The state has some of the best hospitals and medical facilities in the world. It also has a very low rate of mortality, which is at around 4%.

In Massachusetts, there are about 2.7 million residents and about 1.3 million people who are employed. About one-third of the population lives below the poverty line and about 20% have no health insurance coverage.
